Passionate about design, Melanie developed a firm founded on integrity, vision, and creativity in 2002.  Based in The Woodlands and Houston Texas, Melanie understands the client-base of the areas within and around Houston.  Pulling from her background in business, she creates a smooth process from the inception of the idea through installation. 

Selected to serve on the Association of Interior Designers Board while still in school, Melanie learned first-hand from top designers how to incorporate new ideas in the industry with classic design.  Winning awards in both contemporary and classic design, Melanie has designed a wide spectrum of interior spaces.  She also gained insight into the importance of impacting our community.

Serving on the End Hunger Network Committee in past years and presently, Melanie enjoys bringing this cause and others to light.  She regularly gives her time and money to several organizations within and around the Houston area.

Utilizing an extensive library of stylistic design approaches, Melanie King Interior Designs is known for creating classic, graceful interiors - all executed with great attention to detail.

She believes in the importance of bringing together clients personal taste, momentos, and style of living to meet the overall design requirements. In order to achieve an overall seamless integration of the design, the architectural style and site of the property is considered.

Melanie King Interior Designs regards the relationship between architect, designer, contractor, and client as key to creating an accomplished design. She walks her clients through conceptualization of the design to installation.

Her offices are located in Houston which affords a wealth of nearby showrooms, including The Decorative Center of Houston, The Resource Center of Houston, and a wealth of established design resources. In addition, she is afforded long-standing relationships with antique dealers, art dealers, and an array of craftsmen/women. These relationships are integral to creating her distinctive interiors.
