Woodlands Residence Nestled in the heart of The Woodlands, Texas, this English Tudor style home has everything from panoramic views to a custom wine grotto. The family desired a custom look with plenty of comfort for their young children. Focusing on a consistency between rooms, the color palette is set in the family room and shared in other spaces throughout the home. This kitchen is the center of the home visually and socially as it carries your eye high above to a two-story vaulted ceiling, back down to a large custom-stained island, and decorative iron works on the door entrance to the wine grotto. Comfortable seating with graphic prints is combined with natural linen hand-blocked drapery in the family room. Old world styles are brought in with the use of a stone fireplace surround, iron accents, and vaulted wood ceilings. Majestic velvet drapes hang in the two-story stairwell and dining room windows. These added textural value as well as a feeling of tapestries hung in old Tudor English homes. Luxury was the focus in the Master Bedroom suite where we deviated to cool blues and chocolates to create a true escape. Clean lines and beautiful artwork add drama and personality.
